FRENCH POP-UP
PETANQUE CONCEPT
In 2015, La Boulisterie innovated with its pop-up Petanque courts and created the first solution to play Petanque anytime, anywhere.

La Boulisterie is a true invitation to travel and dream by experiencing another French touch and is now present in Los Angeles.

From a flat space and in less than 45 min we will set 2 pop-up Boulodromes (indoor or outdoor) a brown turf and a set of various decorative objects so Frenchie!

Our “Maître Boulistier” set the Boulodrome, host the event and then uninstall everything. You actually do not have to worry about anything, just relax and enjoy the game. For a safer play, we use “Made in France” softball. They weight the same as traditional Petanque steel ball: 680 grs but they allow a safer play.

We have put all our passion, our expertise in the event business and even a part of our childhood dreams to create a unique, trendy, vintage, poetic and ephemeral petanque activity. Boulodromes, lounge chairs, wooden boxes as a coffee table, tri-colored barrel, stalls… a real time-traveling machine back to the ’50s and ’60s.

We also offer long term rental if you’d like to set a Petanque Court for a week or several months.

Become Maître Boulistier!

Created in 2015 in Nice, in Southern France, La Boulisterie is present all over France and now in Los Angeles. Other cities are currently being considered; therefore do not hesitate to contact us if you’d like to develop La Boulisterie in your area.

Drunken Logic at 8:30PM

Drunken Logic at 8:30PM

Drunken Logic at 8:30

With the daring to transform a country ballad into a reggae tune and the scathing wit for social and personal satire, Drunken Logic makes music that “blend[s] more genres and styles than we have room to list, all in the name of creating an eclectic fast-forward sound that’s shaken up after each track” (Vanyaland). Frontman Jake Cassman walked away from an Ivy League education to forge a theatrical folk-rock sound influenced as much by Kurt Vonnegut and Jon Stewart as by artists like Dawes or Frank Turner. Since then, DL has released two critically acclaimed albums, shot several award-winning music videos, and performed at major events and venues like AT&T Park and First Night Boston.

Jake’s artistic journey has taken him around the world and back again, with jobs in every corner of the music industry and performances at everything from celebrity galas to improv comedy shows. He’s also participated in grassroots campaigns for automatic voter registration and universal healthcare, and taught songwriting classes to young people trying to find their voices. Despite his busy schedule, Jake still saves time for pickup basketball, urban and rural hiking, and trying new beers based solely on their names.

Most recently, Drunken Logic donated their song and video “What A Beautiful Morning!” to the 30 Days, 30 Songs project for a Trump-free America, alongside artists like Death Cab for Cutie, R.E.M. and more. And with each step forward, they have been careful to give back to their community by supporting progressive causes and hosting music workshops for young people. This year, Jake has returned to his home state of California to release DL’s third record, The Loudness Wars — an unblinking reflection on the forces roiling our country and the people left in their wake. Consistently funny, always honest, and never boring, Drunken Logic is a powder keg of diverse rock music sparked by the American folk tradition — an inspiring and challenging sound defined by the times in which we live.

Greg in Good Company 6:30PM This Friday!

Greg in Good Company 6:30PM This Friday!

These guys are kicking off Odd Nights at The Autry this Friday at 6:30 PM and you don’t want to miss them.

Greg in Good Company’s music – a combination of upbeat catchy melodies, funky bass riffs, soulful vocal harmonies and thoughtful lyrics – is often compared to Mumford and Sons, The Lumineers, The Strumbellas and Weezer, while also reminding listeners of the classic rock that ruled the airwaves decades ago. Despite comparisons or personal musical influences, the band doesn’t strive to sound like anyone or anything else other than Greg in Good Company.
